What a surprise – for good health outcomes, follow the data!

Opinion: In the early 2000s the Canterbury District Health Board was the second largest DHB in New Zealand (and still is) and arguably the poorest performing. Much of this poor performance was from an inherited legacy of the previous decade but it began to rapidly turn around from the mid-2000s.
Reinforcing this turnaround, on April 7 2014 Chief Executive David Meates commended the significant impact of the health pathways that had been developed integrating healthcare provided both in the community and hospital.
